Bookkeeper


We are seeking a full time bookkeeper for our growing CPA tax practice in Tacoma. This position requires a seasoned professional who is able to solve problems, juggle deadlines, and assist clients directly. The ideal candidate will be working with clients on all aspects of bookkeeping including monthly write-ups, B&O taxes, quarterly payroll reports, and any other general accounting needs the clients may have. Our office encourages flex time, so the right candidate may choose their own hours and also perform their work partially from home.

Job Responsibilities:

The ideal candidate will work directly with clients to provide a variety of services including:

  • Monthly bookkeeping and management reports
  • Monthly and quarterly Department of Revenue reporting
  • Assist clients with Quickbook issues
  • Quickbooks consulting and set up for new clients
  • Quarterly payroll reports
  • Assist our tax department with bookkeeping issues related to client tax returns
  • Year-end1099 reporting

Requirements:

  • High School diploma or GED
  • At least 2 years bookkeeping experience
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Outlook
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize work

Office Manager

We are seeking a full time dynamic office manager for our growing CPA tax practice in Tacoma. This position requires an individual who is self-directed, able to work independently, and can take on new tasks with ease. As office manager for a deadline driven profession, the ideal candidate will be driving the office and team to success through handling multiple tasks and getting things done efficiently and effectively. The office manager will be the "face" of the firm and the point of contact for all client needs. Exemplary client service is a must.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Reception - greet clients, handle all general phone calls, and other general client communications
  • Set appointments and maintain appointment calendars for accountants
  • Receive, sort, and deliver all client mail and documents to accountants
  • Organize and scan client tax documents
  • Assemble tax returns and original tax documents to be picked up or mailed
  • Assign new projects and monitor all projects via electronic workflow system
  • Tax preparation support including basic data input and document requests
  • Manage billing and receivables

Requirements:

  • High School diploma or GED
  • At least 3 years administrative experience
  • Experience with professional service firm a plus (CPA/lawyer/architect)
  • Strong organizational and customer service skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Outlook
  • Quickbooks experience a plus
